2MASS All-Sky Data Release and Extended Mission Products Explanatory Supplement

The 2MASS Explanatory Supplement is a document that provides users of 2MASS products with a description of the Survey and its facilities, the production and contents of data products comprising the All-Sky Data Release. Information describing the generation and properties of the Extended Mission Ancillary Products is contained in Appendices. This document is also intended to provide detailed information about the quality of the data, including known limitations, to facilitate their most accurate scientific use.

This dataset or service is made available by the Infrared Science Archive (IRSA) at IPAC, which is operated by the California Institute of Technology under contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
