The 21st annual Greater IPAC Science Symposium (GISS) will be held on August 2 - 5, 2021 via Zoom. The Science Symposium is a forum for presenting, discussing and learning more about the diverse research that is being carried out across the Greater IPAC. Format will be 10 minute oral presentations and 30 minutes for invited talks. This year there will be talks on a wide range of topics from the solar system to high-redshifts galaxies. In addition, there will be an invited talk that highlights early science results from the Mars Perseverance project!
Attendance for the GISS is open to the larger Los Angeles area of astronomy institutions and is not limited to scientists. Please join us for afternoons of engaging science talks, discussions, and fun (as some levity is encouraged!).
Wondering who all those post-docs and students are? Who is that person you keep seeing at the virtual All Hands? What do all these people around here actually do, anyway? Here's where you can find out!
