The Greater IPAC Technology Symposium (GRITS) will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018, in the Cahill Hameetman Auditorium.
GRITS is a one-day Technology Symposium giving IPACers the chance to share information about what we are currently doing to support our missions. If you are a developer, an engineer, a technologist, a user -- an IPACer -- this symposium is for you.
This year, the format includes Invited Talks, Contributed Talks, and Pop-Ups. Contributed Talks are informal 10 minute talks plus 5 minutes for questions. Pop-Ups are single view graph opportunities to describe interesting tools, elegant engineering solutions, or lessons learned.
The GRITS VIII program is taking shape with the confirmed attendance of several invited speakers on Asteroids, LISA, Open Science Grid, the EXCALIBUR Science Pipeline, and the LSST Science Platform. We also confirmed a half day workshop on Jupyter Notebook, and a half day workshop on Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
Now we need your active participation! Please submit your talk titles and RSVP for attendance on the workshops to any of the LOC members (see below) or directly to grits@lists.ipac.caltech.edu.
Important dates for GRITS VIII:
