The North America (NGC 7000) and Pelican (IC 5070) Nebulae complex is a complicated mixed-mode star formation region, and at ~520 pc, is not all that much further away than Orion, but it is considerably less well studied. We have embarked on a multi-year observing campaign to identify and characterize the young star population. We have Spitzer observations of ~7 square degrees, which has increased the known or suspected young star inventory by a factor of 10 from ~200 to ~2000 stars. We find three large subclusters within the complex as well. With any luck, I will also report on SOFIA observations obtained at the end of May 2011.
