Slewing between two points of a raster is performed by the
satellite in a rather slow motion. The time needed for this slew is
defined in the ISO Observer's Manual.
Since the array is read continuously, and without synchronization
with the satellite operation, one exposure is lost at the beginning
and at the end of each pointing of a raster, this adds an overhead of
at each pointing, or a total of
for the raster. This
overhead can be very significant if
is small.
There is also the overheads for the DRK, CAL and CLN OPERATIONS when they have been selected.
