ISOCAM has three main imaging modes: photometric,
spectrophotometric and polarimetric. Additionally, in the
photometric mode, celestial raster and beam-switching, where
observations on the source and on one or more reference positions
are carried out, can be performed.
These observation modes are accessible via three dedicated AOTs:
- CAM01 - General Observation, single pointing, raster and
micro-scanning.
- CAM03 - Beam-switching.
- CAM04 - Spectrophotometry.
Polarimetric observations can also be achieved, but require the use of the Calibration Uplink System, rather than being programmed through an AOT.
