Abstract
"Dust around NEarby Stars" (DUNES) is a Herschel Key Programme to search for faint debris disks around ~200 nearby main-sequence stars. The aim is to find and characterize debris systems similar to the one in our Solar System, the Edgeworth-Kuiper Belt dust disk. I will present the target selection procedure and describe basic properties of the sample. Furthermore, a software tool to model the spectral energy distributions of spatially unresolved disks will be presented.
