Sample LWS Cosmic Ray Glitches
In the plots below we see LWS detectors LW4 and LW5 scanned across their
range (140 - 180um and 160 - 197um). This is a grating scan and the encoder
steps are given at the bottom of the plots. There is a continuum + dark
current level present at a level of 100 e-/sec, and glitches to 1200 to
500 e-/sec in the two detectors. The encoder steps represent the some sequence
in time for the two detectors so one can see the hits in adjacent detectors
are in general not correlated.
