Due to the particular characteristics of each of the instruments and
detectors other sources of stray radiation have to be considered when designing
observations. These effects have been found in-orbit and are under detailed
investigation. The Addenda of the OBSERVER'S MANUALS give descriptions and
how these affect observations
- Fringing (ripples in the spectrum) in LWS and SWS
- Artifacts in some of LWS spectra
- Ghost images and memory effects in CAM
- Straylight on the fine calibration source in PHT
